A passion and a gift for singing gave her the spark to invest in her voice at an early age.

At 9 years old, she had the opportunity to perform Gospel Music as a soloist on Protestant Churches' pulpit or on the Théâtre du Gymnase's stage.

At the age of 11, this call for vocal art led her to La maîtrise de Paris (CRR de Paris), a semi-professional children's choir, where she immersed herself for 7 years in the sacred and secular classical repertoire, and with which she sang on the most prestigious international stages (Opéra Bastille, Salle Gaveau, Salle Pleyel, Palais des Congrès, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, Festival of Sacred Art of Fez Morocco , etc...).

At age 16, it was at La Maîtrise de Paris during an audition for a jazz opera that she met Didier Lockwood. It was from this encounter that her passion for Jazz was born. This jazz opera and above all this meeting with the late violinist and jazz educator, gave her life an unexpected turn: she threw herself "Body & Soul" in the jazz adventure!

An adventure that will led her, thereafter, to sing with exceptional musicians on the international jazz scene.

At the same time, she continued to study Classical Music at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris (CNSMDP) in the Department of Vocal Disciplines for two and a half years.

Then, it was in 2009 that her career as an educator began when the Arnouville Conservatory (95) recruited her to create and run a Contemporary and Jazz Singing Class. In 2018, She officially became Independent Vocal Coach. In 2020, she was recruited by the Conservatory of Pantin (93) to take charge of musical classes and by the Conservatory of Paris 14th district to open its 1st Contemporary singing class…

In 2021, she decided to return to her native lands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

Being a crossover vocalist as they say, she is committed to developing an approach based on physiology, which goes against the stereotypes and limitations she heard throughout her academic training singing Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary: it's not possible to sing Mariah Carey and Classical music, it will screw up your voice The air on the voice is harmful to the vocal cords Growl, you shouldn't use it; etc...

My name is Cynthia Saint-Ville. I am a Jazz & Contemporary Vocalist, Author and Composer. I'm here to share my 30 years artistic and professional international experience in the fields of Jazz, Musical Theatre, Gospel, Lyrical Arts, and Current Music.

I continue my teacher training regularly in France and in North America in order to keep abreast of scientific advances, new voice techniques and different methods of somatic education: for me it is a matter of having the technical tools that will allow me to individualize my pedagogy in order to provide the best support available to my client.

My students and my clients are Beginners, Singers, Actors, Singing teachers, School teachers, Candidates for the CAPES of Music Education and Choral Singing teachers, Candidates for the RNCP title of Singing Teacher, Individuals who love the voice, or Companies.

I also provide support to patients who are engaged in speech therapy with a speech pathologist.
